Who we are
The 3rd Armored Division was created during the second war with the Vuana, where it played an invaluable role in the first offensives against Vuana stronghold planets. After the war the 3rd AR was disbanded because of heavy asualties and lack of funding for the vehicles it required. Mandalore Military leaders also felt that the use of such vehicles for defensive purposes was limited.
In the years since the end of the Vuana Wars, an aura of mystery began to surround the stories of the Stone Dragons. Many of these stories are obviously false, but others have some basis in fact, which has helped create the mystique and adventure many young Mandalorians feel about armored warfare today. This feeling was so great a few years ago that the 3rd Infantry Division was disbanded and the 3rd AR was reformed in its place. Funding was still low however, until recent developments in armored vehicle technology.
